Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake

Today's helpful tip:

When you come across a rattlesnake, don't just step on it or try and kick it away.  They are rare and important animals that need to be protected (and more importantly, you might get bitten.  If that happens, I'm rooting for the snake).  Deliberately killing these snakes can result in a maximum $250,000 fine and 5 years in prison.  Just ask this guy.

Know the proper way to pick up a venomous snake and transport it safely to a nearby Ministry of Natural Resources office.  Try to resist the urge to place it in a co-workers desk drawer.

Come on Placing it in a co workers desk drawer is the kind of gentle ribbing a trinidaidian Canadian would find houmorous.
As long as the snake isn't in the map drawer.
