Spider Mom

I discovered this very large dock spider on the outside wall of our office this afternoon. She was resting (wouldn't you, if you had that many kids on your back?) while several little ones were disembarking and tackling the world on their own for good. Many others decided to just stay where it was undoubtedly safe.
I estimated the length (body only) at about 2 inches long. Very big for this area.
